“What an adventure for a couple from the bayous of Louisiana. Your attention to details is much appreciated. A true trip of a lifetime.”
Paul & Olive Bonin, Louisiana, USA. 2011
“What a perfect introduction to Africa! Our first ever safari and now already I understand the fascination. Having the 2 camps is an ideal contrast, they are both a fine combination of luxury and simplicity. None of this would be of importance if the staff had not been so attentive and pleasant and knowledgeable. “Anticipation” is a key word – the staff anticipates our needs and the guides anticipate the animals’ behavior. Very many thanks.”
Lorraine & Pat Spector. Colorado, USA. 2011.
“Absolutely lovely! The setting, the staff & guides, and of course the critters! Both Kaingo and Mwamba were the perfect conclusion to our visit to South Luangwa. I can’t wait to return and live in the hides another time. Too much to see and do! Thank you for taking such good care of us and always smiling at the requests.”
Amber Blecker. USA. 2011.
“Kaingo is a wealth of photographic opportunities and a place of diversity and beauty. Staff, food and setting are one of the best!! I look forward to bringing more aspiring photographers to capture magnificent landscapes and wildlife. See you again!”
Michele Westmorland. International League of Conservation Photographers. USA. 2011
“What can I say that has not already been written? We have been here for nearly two weeks, with two days to go and it has been a true adventure, a realization of what our planet is about! We have seen so much and met so many wonderful animals and people. Creation is not politics or religion, it is our planet earth. Thank you Derek, Izzy, Lisa, Deb, Meyam, Patrick and all the staff.”
Art & Christa Ryan. Australia. 2011.
“Where to begin? Perfection at every turn, amazing staff, and super knowledgeable guides, fantastic hides, brilliant food, absolutely the best African bush experience I’ve ever had. Thank you all so much. I’m running out of superlatives.
Thanks to Lisa, Patrick, Kennedy, Ian, Derek, Zimba and all who aided our joyous stay J. And I’ll second that! Thank you so much.”
Sarah and Connor Gregory. UK. 2011.

To the fantastic staff of Mwamba… We have truly loved our visit to this glorious paradise in the bush! We love the chalets… everything is perfect and we have been so well taken care of. Meyam has spotted the game so incredibly… The excitement of the baboons yelling, the leopard running, the hyenas chasing!! And we follow for successful encounters. Thank you, thank you, we will return “soon”.
Cynthia & Jim Tuthill. 2011.
“They were right! After reading about how wonderful Kaingo is for the last 18 years, I have finally come here to find out for myself. It’s all true and more. We have had some amazing sightings and have watched game in the most dramatic of circumstances. Each day has brought something new and different. All the camp staff and the tour staff, not forgetting the scouts – have treated us as royalty. Thank you, one and all.”
Alison Ridout. UK. 2011.

“After six days at Mwamba, Kaingo was a bonus after all the GREAT sightings. We’ve had probably the best safari of our lives – thanks to all the camp staff, guides and wonderful park.
We LOVE the decks and all the activities and can’t wait to come back – Insha-llah.
8 different leopards, 1 wild dog, 1 serval, 1 cameleon… the list goes on.”

“We have had a wonderful and memorable experience here in Kaingo with Izzy, Lisa, Kennedy, Ian, Derek and the photographers’ group. We’re eager to see the brochure! A special thank you for your help and concern with Frank’s injured leg – this is his 8th and my 6th trip to Africa and this camp has been amazing – they don’t come any better for us because of the setting and the people J including the other guests. Thank you.”
Susan and Frank Baker. New Jersey. USA. 2011.
“Our visit has been spectacular! One of my life dreams = seeing a pennant-winged nightjar!! (I cried). A night in the elephant hide, which was one of the most amazing experiences we have ever had! We were “sailing” over the Luangwa, just the two of us, reveling in the sounds of the night. I felt as if we owned the river!
Thank you for all the marvelous hospitality… you think of everything… the guides, the food, “our honeymoon” chalet for the 4th time! We will see you soon. With love.”
Cynthia and Jim. California, USA. 2011.
“Thank you Izzy, Lisa and the rest of the camp staff for an enjoyable and relaxing stay – the food and hospitality were outstanding! Ian and Kennedy, your courtesy and hepfullness were much appreciated. Special thanks to Patrick – your knowledge of all the animals, birds, plants is awe-inspiring. I greatly enjoyed and much will miss your sense of humor!! What’s the difference between a Zee-Bra and a Zeb-Ra?? And a game drive in camp?!!!!”
Jeff Nadler. San Diego. USA. 2011.

‘Another fantastic few days at Kaingo. We have been made so welcome and all the staff have been so kind. The game viewing has been superb. What more can you ask for than leopards in the evening followed by a glass of Amarula on ice!!’
Mike & Fiona , Australia. 2011
“To our “family” at Kaingo and Mwamba. Thank you for a holiday which will stay with us for a lifetime. We have enjoyed fantastic experiences with the wildlife (always remembering the elephant who tried to join us in bed at Mwamba!) and benefitted so much from the amazing knowledge and experience of all your guides. The walks were SO very enjoyable and we have been able to totally relax and enjoy the space and freedom of Nature, thanks to everyone who has made our life in the camps so perfect. We cannot imagine anywhere more special – don’t change a thing!!
We hope to be back one day.”
Di & Richard , England. 2011.
“Our time with you all at Kaingo has been an experience of another world! Thank you to everyone who has made our time here so special. From the moment we arrived at the airport to be greeted by Ian and the drive back to the camp, the days have passed with such ease “a well-oiled wheel”. We thoroughly enjoyed our night under the stars wth all the sound effects included. The game drives that allowed us a glimpse of the wonderful area that you live in. The expert knowledge that all the guides shared so generously with us. The hippo hide was a special delight, thank you for indulging us with repeat visits. The ever smiling faces of all the staff, with nothing being too much trouble, have been very much appreciated. Thank you to Izzy for all your work in making the arrangements to come here. We are now very excited to be going on to experience Mwamba. Thank you”
Peter & Evanna , Australia. 2011.

“Many many thanks to all of you who made our first visit to Africa an absolutely spellbinding experience from the first minute to the last. It was way beyond our already high expectations!! Spending half our days at Mwamba and half at Kaingo seemed just right. Hats off to Meyam especially for such patience and depth of explanation on all our drives”.
Mike & June, USA. 2011.
“We came from the UK for a week in South Luangwa, we had been here before but our stay in Mwamba was fantastic. The viewing has been spectacular, leopards, lions, kudu, tawny ealges, etc etc just one amazing sight after another, what next? The camp is great, just the right level of luxury but still out in the bush. Looking up out of the roof at the wildlife in the trees and the stars at night was very cool. All the staff have been very friendly and fun, but also very efficient. So in conclusion, a fantastic place and a fantastic stay.”
Alison and Simon , UK. 2011.
“Sad to leave such a beautiful place. The real bush experience. Went for my first bushwalk ever with fantastic guides. We encountered leopard, buffalo, having to walk between them. Learned a lot about little things. Near the car a group of 5 buffalos were waiting for us. Exciting! How great! Having been in their company. To all: many thanks for your hospitality. Very very enjoyable.
Ed and Michelle, Belgium. 2011.
“What an experience! Wondeful situation. A real “Bush” experience. Staff cannot do enough for you. Food is great, company is great, guides are great – everything is GREAT. We will be back!”
Linda & Charlie, Scotland. 2011.
‘When I dreamed of my first trip to Africa, I would never have thought of Zambia. However, thanks to Kaingo, Mwamba, and South Luangwa National Park, this has been more than a dream fulfilling experience! I can’t imagine a more heavenly place on earth…’
Shayna Smith, North Carolina, USA
‘Well, well, well, what an awesome place – I’ve had a smile slapped onto my face since I got here. The staff are A1, the food is 5 star, the accommodation deluxe and the whole way it’s put together is simply a class act. We’ve had leopards, lions and sneaky midnight hippos to make it exciting. Then napped our days away in between, at least when we’re not eating, which is always. Congratulations and thanks to everyone. In fact, come to think of it, I’m not leaving, no way, you can’t pick me up and make me… hey… put me down…NOOOO!’
Ben Peacock, Sydney, Australia
‘I can’t thank you enough Derek, Jules and all the staff for making our holiday an experience never to be forgotten. We’ve seen all we wanted to see and much, much more ! I hope you will remember us for our world record of SIX LEOPARDS in one day! Your camps really are not to be missed and will always be the BEST PLACE to stay. Thank You and Thank You again.’
Chris, UK
‘You are all magicians! Leopards on demand, lions who perform and even pythons for a finale. Banquets in the bush by Medi the sorcerer. I don’t know how you do it. Thanks Derek, Jules and everyone else here. You have magic on your side.”
Sankha Guha, Travel Journalist, London, UK
‘An extraordinary experience. Magnificent nature with a base in these beautiful settings that you have created from which to enjoy it. We will never forget the atmosphere, kindness, food and incredible staff which have all contributed to our stay so much!
The Hogarth Family, London, England.
‘A wonderful four days and nights at quite the best site in the Luangwa Valley. Great elephant, great lion, great leopard and great company. We can’t wait to come back.’
The Harries, Malawi.
‘An absolutely amazing adventure! Many, many thanks for this fascinating experience – the walks and drives have truly blown us away! Seeing an elephant hours after birth, a lion digesting it’s latest meal within a few feet of us, and seeing so many hippos, crocs and rare birds has been extraordinary. Thank you to all of you for your warm hospitality. This start to our honeymoon is unforgettable! Come visit us!’
Nancy and Willem Maas, San Francisco, USA
