David Rogers

David Rogers Photographic

UPCOMING TOUR AT KAINGO:

19-22 September 2013

Originally from Cape Town, where he lives still, David Rogers  went to the University of Cape Town to study English and Environmental Science. He then worked for Readers Digest within the Special Books Department and worked on such books as the South Africa Guide to Game Reserves. He also free-lanced at Struik Publishers on orders for Kruger and Etosha National Parks.

Between 1994 and 2000 he was assistant editor for Getaway Magazine and wrote more than 200 features and 24 covers, which lead to numerous writing and photographic awards. Since then he is freelancing and contributing to many other magazines and newspapers such as GEO, Africa Geographic, National Geographic Traveller, Sunday Times and more. He has specialized in photographing safari lodges and camps, writing over six books  on the topic. He developed a passion for teaching and is now also leading wildlife and nature photography workshops, along with leading an annual lodge photography academy.

David Rogers designs and leads all his selected photographic workshops all over Southern Africa, and sometimes partnering with Africa Geographic. David’s instruction covers photographic tips and advice as well as post-production, with hands-on sessions on Lightroom, followed by individual evaluation.
