August 2013, by Sylvester.
We had just finished our sundowners around 18h30, when we heard the high pitch call of the banded mongoose, and a growling of an African civet.
we drove closer to try to see what was happening. An African civet came and crossed the road with a young banded mongoose in its mouth! It was followed by the pack of mongoose trying to rescue the young one.
The civet disappeared in the thicket. We didn’t even have the time to take a single picture, it went all so fast!
